Our journey starts in Barcelona, 1979. Having brought up a couple of projects in Spain with the then co-director architect Mercè Nadal, Dr Marcià Codinachs quickly shifted to China to start exploring Asian markets .
In 2006, architect Ms Eugènia Codianchs joined the firm and soon enough, the hunger for expansion brought Codinachs Architects to Vietnam, Indonesia, United Arab Emirates, Morocco and Caribbean countries.
Codinachs Architects is not only an international design firm but also a proud lineage of architects that aims to build a strong legacy and leave a footprint made of honesty and effort. Our search for continuous improvement and innovation allows us to be brave, courageous, and competent.

DR MARCIÀ CODINACHS
Dr Marcià Codinachs gathers broad international recognition by his personal involvement in different aspects of the architectural field such as investigation projects, publications and articles and giving conferences around the world exploring topics such as “Liveable Cities” or “The Future of Architecture”.
He has been a professor at the University Polytechnic of Barcelona, for more than 25 years and his experience in guiding thesis and PHD programs is highly reputed. During that academic period he also initiated different collaborations with foreign universities such as the “Politecnico di Milano”, “Tongji University” and “The University of Illinois in Chicago” among others.
His award-winning projects of significant scale and complexity span urban planning, mixed use, high rise buildings, commercial office, hospitality and residential, including the Pengpai City Renovation Congress’ Best Innovative Office in 2021 , the Best Urban Regeneration Project Silver Award by MIPIM and the Sustainable Design Award both in 2015.
Dr Marcià Codinachs is focused on Design Excellence as Principal Architect of the firm, working across the firm to ensure that Codinachs Architects designs continue to push the boundaries of impact, innovation, and experience.

Ms Eugenia Codinachs brings over 15 years of international experience as an architect, focused not only on expanding the firm to SEA countries but also on understanding the needs of each project through the use of bold design strategies. Ms Codinachs has directed the firm as General Manager since 2008 and is currently the CEO & Lead Architect since 2021.
She is an advocate for the belief that balancing architecture and design should not only be aesthetically pleasing but also functional to benefit the community and capture the spirit of the place. As a strategist, Ms Eugenia Codinachs directs teams that shape projects across many disciplines, from master planning to architecture design, including mixed-use, residential, and hospitality projects among others.
Ms Eugenia Codinachs began her professional career in 2006 with her first project in the Huishan North Bund, Shanghai, China, and continued leading projects in Vietnam, Indonesia, The Philippines, Malaysia and UAE and Caribbean Countries such as Cuba and the Dominican Republic.
She holds a Superior Architecture Degree from the Polytechnic University of Catalunya and a Masters in International Business from EAE Business School of Barcelona.
